Project Notes
📸 These photos show:
Subfloor prep: vapor barrier rolled out wall-to-wall, luan underlayment fitted, seams sanded and screwed tight to stop movement and squeaks.
LVT plank install: click-lock panels tapped together, running through five different rooms with continuous grain, no step-ups or transitions to trip over.
Custom transition strips: four separate hardwood transitions, each measured, mitered, and fitted for a seamless finish between flooring types and thresholds.
Tub surround: blocking added at exact heights for grab bars, cement board installed and waterproofed with RedGard, tile layout mapped and set with tight grout lines and marble accents.
Grab bars, shelf, and soap dish set solid in the tile — all fasteners sealed, no flex, no shortcuts.
Finished entry: new brass hardware aligned and installed, closing flush and operating smoothly.
The final effect is unified: floors flow from kitchen to hallway to bath and living, no visual stops, no creaks or gaps, and a tub surround built to handle moisture, movement, and heavy use.
Every upgrade is both hidden and visible — from the buried blocking and vapor barrier to the new tile faces and entry hardware.
