📍 What You’re Looking At:
This home had been lived in for decades, and it showed. The siding was tired, the bathroom outdated, and the kitchen layout felt boxed-in. What you’re seeing here is the result of a full-scope exterior and interior refresh.

Key visible and behind-the-scenes upgrades:

  • All vinyl siding, soffits, and aluminum trim were removed and replaced
  • The wood framework behind soffits and fascia was rebuilt and sealed tight
  • Every window and door was wrapped in custom aluminum trim, cut and fit by hand
  • Inside, we gutted the bathroom to subfloor and studs, rebuilt from the ground up
  • Kitchen cabinets were fully removed, and we opened up the roofline by installing a post and beam system after removing a dividing wall
  • Brought in Gutter Tech (Adam’s crew) to fabricate and install 6" black gutters and leaders — clean lines, built to move water fast

✅ Do:

✔️ Rinse the siding a couple times a year to keep buildup off and finish looking fresh
✔️ Keep an eye on caulk lines around aluminum trim — a quick reseal keeps water out for the long haul

❌ Don’t:

❌ Don’t block the soffit vents — airflow is everything for attic health
❌ Don’t skip annual visual checks around bathroom floor transitions — tile and moisture don’t always play nice

Overview

🤕 Symptoms: -Outdated vinyl siding and soffits showing signs of fatigue -Cracked or compromised fascia and wood structure behind trim -A closed-off kitchen layout with poor flow and limited overhead space -Dated bathroom in need of full gut and rebuild -Client needed work completed while he remained out of state managing his own projects -The home needed modern upgrades without losing its family-rooted foundation 🩺 Diagnosis: This house had history — not just wear and tear. It had been lived in, loved, and left behind by time. The finishes were stuck in an older era, and the kitchen layout restricted both air and movement. The client, a builder himself, began the job by replacing the windows, working shoulder to shoulder with me on-site. It wasn’t long before he saw the care I put into every cut, every decision. That trust opened the door to do things right, from the siding to the structure, while he focused on his own clients back in Florida. 🛠️ Treatment Plan: -Fully removed and replaced all vinyl siding for a clean, weather-sealed exterior -Rebuilt wood framework behind the soffits and fascia, then installed new vinyl soffits and aluminum trim --Custom cut and installed aluminum flashing to all doors, windows, and fascia boards for protection and polish -Fully demoed the bathroom down to the framing and subfloor for a true restart -Removed all kitchen cabinetry and demoed a structural wall -Installed a new post and beam system to open the ceiling layout and enhance the space -Coordinated the install of new 6" black gutters and leaders with Gutter Tech 845-463-2578 (shout out to Adam — tell him I sent ya) 💡 Prognosis: The home now sits proudly with a sealed exterior, a refreshed flow, and a modern but grounded energy inside. What started as a few updates became a full evolution, and the client didn’t need to look over my shoulder to know it was being done right. The trust was mutual, and the result speaks for itself — a childhood home reborn into a vacation-ready retreat.
